3D Mixed Media Hexagon Artwork

Tectonic Shift is a three-dimensional exploration of the immense, silent forces that reshape our world. This hexagonal mixed-media piece serves as a sculptural map of upheaval, capturing the precise moment where stillness breaks and new landscapes are forced to the surface.

By utilizing a hexagonal canvas, I wanted to move away from traditional boundaries and embrace a shape found in the core of natural structures. The work focuses on the contrast between the vast, matte-black void and the erupting geological activity at its center. The "shift" is represented by high-relief, jagged textures that break the plane of the canvas, highlighted with gold to suggest the precious energy released during a moment of transformation.
